No Fear of Pop’s Tonje Thilesen has had a live session video series going on for quite some time and it’s always been amazingly done. The newest NFOP Session captures an acoustic rooftop version of Mutual Benefit’s “Auburn Epitaphs”. The entire result is just a beautiful 2 minute and 47 second watch of one of my personal favorite songs.

It’s late, but it’s never too late to post something about Grimes. GvB just premiered a live video for her newest single; “Genesis”. Give the Yours Truly produced video a play / listen and you’ll see why Visions is one of the most anticipated releases for 2012.

Certain shows stick with you for a long time (i.e. yvynyl’s post) and I knew immediately after the Austra/Grimes/Emily Reo show that this one was gonna be with me for a while. It’s much more amazing knowing that there’s even a video of the event to relive through. I’ve been all over Tiny Waves recently and I recommend bookmarking the page as soon as possible.

Saskatchewan — “Death & Taxes” [Live]
Here’s a video from last night’s Saskatchewan show; really glad I finally made it out to one. Also, if you think you’ve heard “Nice Daze” before, woah will you be completely blown away when you soak it in live. For now, I’ve got an unfortunately dark video of “Death & Taxes” above, making me really want to push for a much more serious video series, but until I meet someone with proper equipment, please try to enjoy the amateur attempts above & on my Vimeo account.

Animal Collective — “Did You See the Words” [Live]
Such an enlightening experience to have finally caught an Animal Collective show. As I’ve heard prior to this show, Animal Collective played a whole lot of new material. A lot of variant styles in these new songs as well, enough to be completely stoked about the new record. The song above is one of ~4 songs that weren’t new and the only one that wasn’t off of Merriweather Post Pavillion. [CORRECTION: They also played “We Tigers” off of Sung Tongs]
Coma Cinema — “Partners In Crime”
The first show of Coma Cinema’s summer tour took place last night. Jacksonville is always down for some house show action with Coma Cinema and Modern Man. Performing a couple of new songs at the show, Mat Cothran is sure to have another new release for us sometime this year.
